I suppose it’s a wonderful problem to have. The last few months were so busy and so full that there was no inclination to write. Some of you kept up through social media posts. This site was quiet.
We need to catch up. There was gardening and camping and cooking and family and one big trip to Italy. I suspect I owe you ten posts or so. And we’ll get there, but it will take time. The new goal is while my travel companion is watching football games this season, I’ll be spending time with you. It will be good for me. You see, Italy kind of hurt my feelings and it’s taken me a couple of months to get over it. And while camping had a couple of hiccups, both the equipment and the families are safe and happy. Travel planning has seen some changes, too, as we were surprised with the news that another grandchild will join the family – and we probably should cancel that trip to Chile. So give me a couple of weeks and you’ll be up to speed.
I will also confess to a bit of a slump of enthusiasm on this project. Does it really add value? The jury is still out on that one, but in the meantime, I’ve decided that a full year’s commitment will be required before I make the call. Tom’s a yes. He thinks it’s a great way to document our days. Surely I can spend time after a trip equal to his time spent planning. I’ll muster up to the task. First I need to refresh on some technical skills like sizing photos and style format. I have notes somewhere.
So hang on! It’s not like it’s another hill town to climb. I can do this.
